GeoSafe® Geothermal Fluid is an inhibited ethanol-based heat transfer fluid designed for geothermal systems requiring freeze protection and efficient heat transfer performance. Made from renewable-source ethyl alcohol, GeoSafe® is formulated to help protect geothermal loop systems from corrosion, scale formation, and system degradation.
GeoSafe® Geothermal Fluid contains a bittering agent to help render the fluid undrinkable while maintaining low toxicity characteristics.
GeoSafe® Geothermal Fluid also includes a blue dye to assist with leak detection and system identification.
GeoSafe® Geothermal Fluid is available in concentrate and pre-diluted solutions and can be packaged and sold in pails, drums and bulk quantities to meet a wide range of customer and system requirements.
GeoSafe® is made from ethyl alcohol, a flammable liquid. Special handling is required to dispense this product into a geothermal system. Contact Houghton Chemical for correct handling procedures.
